Defects and Damage

The basis of all the information shared on this page is to highlight the basic attributes of all the products curated by Unica Pelle. The information provided here is listed to culminate the facts that lead to what will be covered under manufacturing defects by our brand.

Elements that are covered under the term Manufacturing Defects:

  1.  Incorrectly done dimensions
  2. Weathering of Leather used in the products
  3. Wearing away of the lining fabric used in the product
  4. Any items/accessories such as Zippers, Hooks, Buttons, etc. if found missing or in broken condition

Elements that are not covered under the term Defects:

  1. Leather has many types and varieties; some of which are self textured, hence any natural marks or scar like linings if found on the fabric do not constitute a manufacturing defect
  2. Being a long lasting and timeless classic, the leather fabrics age to perfection. This might cause little darkening of colours over a course of time. Also, certain sub-types might soften with continuous use.
  3. We keep the usage of chemicals to a minimum in order to protect the leather. Hence, the products are not completely stain resistant or scratch proof.
  4. The thing that makes the collection of Unica Pelle so unique is our quality of leather types used. Due to the natural tanning process this leather might undergo certain variations in shades. So, if two pieces of the same collection seem a little different shade wise to you do not worry, that’s just part of the charm of leather!

All of our products are curated with handloom garnered from exclusive suppliers as well as local artisans across the country. Hence, due to the non-industrial nature:

  1. All our handlooms are not a complete 100% colour bleeding resistant.
  2. Every batch we curate is one of a kind in its own
  3. The photographs and actual products might have slight variations owing to the difference in the weaving pattern or texture of the fabric as well as the colour shade variations.

Conceding to all the above listed facts, any product with variation in the colour of leather or slight self-textured natural markings on the leather fabric will not constitute as a defective piece.
